Abstract

Minwoo Jang (he/him) is a graduate student in the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence at POSTECH, Pohang, Republic of Korea. He is also a member of the Machine Learning Laboratory at POSTECH, where he is supervised by Prof. Jungseul Ok. Previously, he received a BEc (Quantitative Economics) degree and a BSc degree in Mathematics from Sogang University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. His academic interests include Federated Learning, Model Compression, Stochastic Optimization, Open World Learning, Crowdsourcing, and so on. Recently, he has focused on effective data subset selection methods for unorganized files on edge devices and/or those crawled from the Internet, in order to construct private and public coresets for training foundation models, respectively.
